Single What? Female...

It was Libby's fault!!!

So it appears that Rove got his info from Scooter Libby...or some other anonymous source in the White House (wonkette believes that anonymous source is Miss Spellings). And Libby assistant John Hannah (no relation to the guy from Four Weddings and a Funeral), is saying "Jeepers! they might get ME!!" as apparently Libby got his info from Hannah..sort of. No matter how befuddling this is all getting, it proves that the two guys were talking about this woman and it "seem[s] to further undermine the White House's contention early in the case that neither man was in any way involved in unmasking Plame." *is that the sound of unraveling I hear?*

IN THE MEANTIME...I was unable to get into the Smoking Gun this morning, but thank goodness CNN had it...The Tom DeLay mugshot. That is the happiest darn mugshot I've ever seen. I'll bet he was positively giggling when they fingerprinted him. *"Denial...I've just met a boy named Denial..."*

And speaking of folks living in their own world...Wayne LaPierre of the NRA is of course just doing a happy dance as Congress just passed a ludicrous gun bill...his response: "What we've seen in Louisiana - the breakdown of law and order in the aftermath of disaster - is exactly the kind of situation where the Second Amendment was intended to allow citizens to protect themselves," I'm sorry I thought it was intended for, you know, defense from the British in the 1700's...my bad ...and if FEMA had actually been, you know, functioning, may be we wouldn't have had some of the chaos...but I guess that's just me...

And, I don't know if this has happened before-I'm thinking it hasn't, but apparently Harriet Miers' questionnaire was so poorly done, she's been asked to do it over...*picturing Harriet going back to Congress sheepishly taking back her paper from the head of the Committee...*

And to top it all off, an Australian freelance journalist has released footage of American soldiers desecrating the bodies of Taliban fighters...

So what is our president doing about it all? Ignoring it. He said today that he refuses to be distracted by the "backround noise" of all the political hoo ha happening around him *putting his hands to his ears and shouting "LA LA LA LA LA LA!"* Yeah, that's the way to "do [your] job"...Yep, juuuuuust ignore those cracks in the democracy....

But unlike our President, I know y'all are paying attention and hence will KEEP E-MAILING! E-mail, call, fax, write your friends and family, the press and your Congressfolk and let them know that you are not ignoring what's going on around the president and are doing YOUR job as American citizens...and as always, pass it on, pass it on, pass it on
