not yet...

yep, put away your Indictment Bingo card for the time being as, according to CNN, Fitzgerald's office has no plans to announce indictments today...but it doesn't mean you can't place your bets
...

It appears Fitz is focusing more on Rove right now as the investigation clock ticks, just intensifying the White House anxiety..

IN THE MEANTIME...The GOP is seriously fighting the Harriet Miers nomination...like SERIOUSLY...which has made me twitch a little from the get go as their reasoning (she's not one of ours) has not exactly been what I consider kosher (such as her not knowing BASIC facts of Constitutional Law...and thinking that Bush is the "most intelligent man [she's] ever met"), but then again, if it makes her withdraw...

What I love though is that despite the fact that in '89, she told an anti-choice group that she'd support a ban on abortion, and apparently Ken Mehlman and others on a White House conference call all believe that she will do the "right thing" about abortion and "not legislate from the bench", there are now these speeches she made in the 90's which she submitted to the judical committee that show she has supported Hillary Clinton AND Kay Bailey Hutchinson, AND is big on "self-determination"...

"This concept of self-determination could clearly be read in support for things like abortion or same-sex marriage, and it's a philosophy that cuts a judge loose from the Constitution." says one legal analyst.

No wonder the GOP is so scared. She really could be a swing voter...but I still don't think I could trust her as far as I could throw her...particulary if she needs a "crash course in Constitutional Law" (said Arlen Specter....and she thinks George is brilliant...GAH!)

AND...yesterday, we reached the 2,000 mark of military deaths in Iraq. The NY Times has a whole section devoted to pictures of all those we've lost in this petty excuse for a war. Honor the soldiers tonight at a vigil tonight and let the White House know that we are paying attention...and counting...and want to support our troops..by sending them home properly.
